The Regional Manifestos Project is an ambitious, long-term project, conceived to serve as a comparative cross-country endeavour. The funding obtained so far has allowed us to cover regional elections in two countries: Spain and UK. In Spain, the RMP data cover the 17 Autonomous Communities and different electoral periods between 1980 and 2015, although, since the dataset is still incomplete, not all electoral periods are fully covered for all the 17 regions. The Spanish parties included in the dataset are mainly the People’s Party (PP), the Spanish Socialist Worker’s Party (PSOE) and the largest peripheral parties in each region, although in some cases we have included also other parties' manifestos. The British manifestos included are the Labour Party, the Conservative Party and the largest peripheral party for the 2011 regional elections in Scotland and Wales. The total number of cases in the dataset is 298. The dataset, that will be periodically updated to include more cases, is available in SPSS, STATA and EXCEL.
